= Laser Printers = For a laser printer to be fully compatible with Control, it should be PCL-compatible. This means that it needs to be able to process PCL without the need for Windows/Linux drivers. If a laser printer is not PCL compatible, all may not be lost. You will need to set the printer type to be a X11 printer in prnaad and use the appropriate CUPS/LPD drivers. You will also lose the ability of the software to automatically switch to landscape mode when printing reports. A simple Google search with the keywords "PCL" and should reveal if a printer is PCL compatible. {{{ NOTE: the HP Laser Jet 1020 is NOT PCL-compatible}}} == Printers that are known to be PCL-compatible == * Brother HL 2070N (used by Frat House) * Lexmark E232 (used by Damro Australia) * Brother MFC-8460N (used by Decorator Centres) * Lanier LP127n (used by Wilding) * HP Laser Jet 2100 (used by Creative Computing) * HP Laser Jet 4100dtn (used by Creative Computing) * HP Color Laser Jet 8550 (used by Creative Computing) * HP Laser Jet 1022 * HP Laser Jet P2015N ---- CategoryPrinter
