Licensing for the company and its branch location in control ( Linux and windows)

This procedure should be followed in the event that you can not change branch location in control on windows machine. This usually happen when copying company folders ( eg: DEMO) from SAM to windows machine or when creating DEMO cd. During the copy of company folder, the brach license get messed up or existing license does not work for new system. You will need to re-liense all the branch after copying the DEMO folder accross.

Things to follow if your license is working or not .

1. How do you know company license does not work?

For Windows
- Admin>>Utilities>>Select another company
For Linux #select

If you can select the another company, then you company is license, if not it is not license.

2. How do you know branch location is license for your company ?

For Windows
- Admin>>Utilities>>Select another company ( Select the company and select the branch)
For Linux #select ( Select the company and select the branch)

If you can select the branch location or if you get option to choose branch location then your branch license is fine if not it is not license.

Licensing

If you need to install the license to the company. Follow this instruction. 1. Copy the colrep program from sam to your machine 2. Run the colrep in local machine and follow the instruction to install the license

If you need to install the license to branch location. Follow this instruction. 1. Copy the brlrep program from SAM to your machine. 2. Run brlrep and give license to each location that you need.

Note: After you are done with licensing in the local machine. Remember to delete the colrep or brlrep program from the local machine.
