Setting Up a VNC Terminal

At each terminal, you will need to:

Otherwise, download the VNC Viewer from http://www.creativecomputing.com.au/demo/vnc-4_1_2-x86_win32_viewer.exe

  1. Open the zip file and extract the contents to C:\Program Files\RealVNC\
  2. Run vnc-4_1_2-x86_win32_viewer.exe

  3. In the VNC server input box, type <Server-IP>:X, where X is either 6,7,8,etc. Make sure that each terminal is assigned a different value for X.

  4. Click on the "Options" button.
  5. Choose "Scale to windows size"
  6. At the bottom of the screen, set the Menu Key to F12
  7. Press OK
  8. Press Connect
  9. Type in the VNC password
  10. They should now be connected.
  11. In the top left-hand corner of the window, there should be an icon with the word VNC. Click on it to reveal a drop-down menu.
  12. Select "Options". It should be near the bottom of the menu.

NOTE: This only sets up the terminal to connect to the CONTROL server via VNC. It does not setup printers or any peripherals.
