Setting Up a VNC Terminal

At each terminal, you will need to:

  1. download the VNC Viewer from http://customers.creativecomputing.com.au/vnc/VNC-Viewer-5.2.1-Windows-32bit.exe and http://customers.creativecomputing.com.au/vnc/ccicon.ico

  2. create the dir in C:\Program Files(x86)\RealVNC\ and save the 2 files in it
  3. Run VNC-Viewer.exe
  4. In the VNC server input box, type <Server-IP>:X, where X is either 6,7,8,etc. Make sure that each terminal is assigned a different value for X.

  5. Click on the "Options" button.
  6. Choose "Scale to windows size"
  7. At the bottom of the screen, set the Menu Key to F12
  8. Press OK
  9. Press Connect
  10. Type in the VNC password
  11. They should now be connected.
  12. In the top left-hand corner of the window, there should be an icon with the word VNC. Click on it to reveal a drop-down menu.
  13. Select "Options". It should be near the bottom of the menu.
  14. Go to the tab called "Inputs"
  15. Change the "Menu Key" to F12

NOTE: This only sets up the terminal to connect to the CONTROL server via VNC. It does not setup printers or any peripherals.
