= Setting Up a VNC Terminal = At each terminal, you will need to: 1. download the VNC Viewer from [[http://www.creativecomputing.com.au/demo/vnc-4_1_2-x86_win32_viewer.exe|http://customers.creativecomputing.com.au/vnc/VNC-Viewer-5.2.1-Windows-32bit.exe]] and [[http://www.creativecomputing.com.au/demo/vnc-4_1_2-x86_win32_viewer.exe|http://customers.creativecomputing.com.au/vnc/ccicon.ico]] 1. create the dir in C:\Program Files(x86)\RealVNC\ and save the 2 files in it 1. Run VNC-Viewer.exe 1. In the VNC server input box, type :X, where X is either 6,7,8,etc. Make sure that each terminal is assigned a different value for X. 1. Click on the "Options" button. 1. Choose "Scale to windows size" 1. At the bottom of the screen, set the Menu Key to F12 1. Press OK 1. Press Connect 1. Type in the VNC password 1. They should now be connected. 1. In the top left-hand corner of the window, there should be an icon with the word VNC. Click on it to reveal a drop-down menu. 1. Select "Options". It should be near the bottom of the menu. 1. Go to the tab called "Inputs" 1. Change the "Menu Key" to F12 1. Go to the tab called "Load/Save" 1. Press "Save As" 1. Change the name of the file to CONTROL and save it to C:\Program Files(x86)\RealVNC\ 1. When asked about saving the password, select YES. 1. right click the CONTROL.vnc file and choose to open it with the viewer.exe program 1. create a shortcut of the CONTROL.vnc file in the desktop 1. Change the picture to be the ccicon.ico . 1. rename Name the shortcut to Control 1. To close the VNC window, click on the close button in the top right-hand corner. 1. To re-connect to CONTROL, double-click on the icon named Control NOTE: This only sets up the terminal to connect to the CONTROL server via VNC. It does not setup printers or any peripherals.
