At each terminal, you will need to:

  1. For Windows98 computers, download http://www.crecom.com.au/demo/attvnc-3.3.3_R2.exe

Otherwise, download the VNC Viewer from http://www.crecom.com.au/demo/tightvnc-1.3dev7_x86_viewer.zip

  1. Open the zip file and extract the contents to C:\Program Files\TightVNC\. If you are using windows to extract the zip file, be sure to check the box labelled "Show extracted files"
  2. Run Vncviewer.exe
  3. In the VNC server input box, type asp.crecom.com.au:X, where X is either 7 or 8. Make sure that each terminal is assigned a different value for X.
  4. Click on the "Options" button.
  5. Choose "Auto" for the 'Scale by:' option
  6. Press OK
  7. Press Connect
  8. Type in the VNC password
  9. They should now be connected.
  10. In the top left-hand corner of the window, there should be an icon with the word VNC. Click on it to reveal a drop-down menu.
  11. Select "Save connection info as ...". It should be the second-last one.
  12. Change the name of the file to CONTROL and save it to the desktop.
  13. When asked about saving the password, select YES.
  14. There should now be an icon on the desktop called CONTROL or CONTROL.vnc.
  15. To close the VNC window, click on the close button in the top right-hand corner.
  16. To re-connect to CONTROL, double-click on the icon named CONTROL or CONTROL.vnc
