Integrated Lights Out (iLO)

Integrated Lights Out is a feature on some HP servers that allows administrators to access the server when the server has been powered down. This assumes that there is still power coming from the power point.

It is able to do this via the a dedicated iLO Ethernet port and a special iLO chip assciated with the port. The iLO port needs to be configured to have an unique IP address on the subnet.

To connect to the iLO port, administrators simply need to open a web browser and type in the IP address of the iLO port. On the Allphones server, the IP address is 192.168.6.51.

The webpage will ask for a username and password. This can be found on a tag that is attached to the back of the machine.
