login as root
lprm -P"printername" -
(If the system is running "cups" then you can just run lprm -
eg. lprm -P marion2_overlay -
eg. cancel 1 job ... lprm -P brendale_invoice 105124
ENABLING PRINTERS
Type:
su -
cupsenable "printername"
/etc/init.d/cups start
service cups restart
*** check to make sure the windows firewall has not turned on
*** check also that VPN is connecte. Disconnect it and reconnect it.
search windows firewall and turn it off
run the above stuff again as it needs to start again
reboot the machine
When east gardens stopped printing. you could check the ip where the printer is printing (lpstat) and then check on their windows setting to ensure the printer (under properties) is at that ip address
CHECK IF YOU CAN CONNECT TO PRINTER

type : lpstat -t |grep ufb_bb1

delete anything in the/tmp directory now
RESETTING THE GOOGLE PRINTERS
go to abe14
su -
(password)
/usr/share/cloudprint-cups/setupcloudprint.py
press <enter> until you get a list of printers for the company you are looking for
pick the number next to the Printer on the left
5) Cranbourne
5 <enter>
when it asks to use the prefix = Y
prefix should be bndv-
keep pressing <enter> until its says "these printers no longer exist, do you want to delete" =Y
if it does not ask dont worry about ... it may not ask
Now.....
Open a browser
abe14:631/printers
click bndv-Cranbourne
under Maintenance - try and print a test page
CLOUD PRINTING
If the customer has trouble with their printer ... get them to open CHROME
type chrome devices
NEW PRINTERS
If the printers stop printing
Go to explorer
c:\crecomps\
click on : crecompsw.exe
This will open a window:
Click on the General Tab
It should say if the printing processes have STOPPED, click on START
want to see the jobs that are queued
$CCDIR/printers/<directory or printer> / *.pdf if there is a list of jobs, you can remove them remove the .txt file first remove the .txt.lck second
the only way you can see what printer it is connected to on the windows machine is
run
crecomps, and when you see the general tab, it will say the same of the printer. this is the name of the printer on the windows machine
so you can open the print queue on the windows machine
if all the printers stop on the server end
at a root prompt
service httpd restart

you can look up the log file
/var/log/httpd/xtreme-access_log-20230702 (date)
this will tell you if the printer has been restarted
if you want to see what print jobs there are:
cd /u/ccxtreme/printers/x2x-VP-printer
ls
