Configuring barcode Scanner

As at 27/04/06, this scanner comes pre-configured to scan EAN8, EAN-13, Code 39 and Code 128 barcodes.

The ability to scan Interleaved 2 of 5 and Code 93 barcodes is disabled by default.To enable the Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode scanning,

  1. Print out a copy of page "5-91" (167) from the instruction manual.
  2. Scan the "START" barcode
  3. Scan the "Enable Interleave 2 of 5" barcode
  4. Scan the "END" barcode

To enable the Code 93 barcode scanning,

  1. Print out a copy of page "5-123" (199) from the instruction manual.
  2. Scan the "START" barcode
  3. Scan the "Enable Code 93" barcode
  4. Scan the "END" barcode

As at 09/03/07, this scanner will pre-pend a "Code ID" to the output. You will need to turn this off for each of the individual barcode symbologies. To disable the Code ID,

  1. Print off the B-1 (283) from the instruction manual
  2. Print off the "Code ID Selection" barcode page for the appropriate symbology from manual. (Print 5-38,5-85,5-95,5-26)
  3. Scan the "START" barcode
  4. Scan the "Set <symbology> Code ID Characters" barcode (page 283)

  5. Scan the 0 barcode from the Alpha-numeric Pad
  6. Scan the 0 barcode again from the Alpha-numeric Pad
  7. Scan the "SET" barcode
  8. Scan the "END" barcode

To fix UPC-A , 12 digit problem of UPC-A.

  1. Print 5-3
  2. Scan - start>>don't send checksum>>end

Test scanner now

  1. Print page F-1
  2. open notepad
  3. Scan EAN-13, Interleaved 2 of 5, Code 128, code 39, upc-A ( forget about codabar and industrial code 2 of 5)

If scan printout number or character same as in sample symbols (f-1), it pass if not redo it.
