To start a new email message:
Log in to phplist using the above URL
Click on "send a message"
In the Content tab, type in the Subject and the body. From past experience, it is a very bad idea to paste something into here, specially from word. Put in plain unformatted text or type it straight into here and format it with the tools provided.
Click save
You can send a test email by entering your email address in the space provided.
In the Lists tab, you can select which lists to send it to.
When ready to send, click on "Send message to selected mailing lists"
Click on "process queue" to send everything out.
