How to use Guacamole to transfer files.

First make sure you are already logged into Guacamole

To upload files

Just drag it into the Guacamole window. These files automatically go into your "home" directory and any import programs from within Control should "see" it when you press the "select file" button. Note that the file system is case sensitive, if you can't find a particular file, make sure you didn't accidentally send it with the extension in all caps. (newstock.csv is NOT the same as NEWSTOCK.CSV).

To download files

Press the left Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys. Under the heading "Devices", you will see an image of a hard drive on the little window that comes in from the left. Traverse the drive and click on the file you want to download. Your browser should pick it up and save it to your local hard disk (usually in the "Downloads" directory). To hide away the window, press the left Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys again.

How to use Guacamole copy and paste

Press the left Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys. Under the heading "Clipboard", you will see a text field. Use your host OS copy/paste shortcut keys to change its contents (you can copy from the field, or paste over it. To hide away the window, press the left Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys again.

How to log out of Guacamole

Normally, you would not need to do this as a particular browser would only connect to one session, but if needed, press the left Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys. Click your username on the top right of the window that slides in and choose "logout".

How to change Guacamole password

Press the left Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys. Click your username on the top right of the window that slides in and choose "settings". Under "change password" type in your current password and your new password twice as requested.
